Corporate Development and Events Manager (as of 9/23/2015)
Nashville Public Television seeks a Corporate Development and Events Manager to manage and grow NPT’s corporate sponsorship program for program and production underwriting as well as manage a variety of fundraising and community events. The ideal candidate will be skilled at developing strong and mutually beneficial relationships with businesses and corporations, resulting in growth and development of corporate revenue. This position will also be responsible for implementing NPT’s major annual fundraising events and soliciting sponsorships for those events. A flexible and nimble approach to working in the constantly changing environment of public media will also be an important quality in the successful candidate.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of five (5) years of responsible and successful fundraising experience or media/sponsorship sales; ability to reach and work effectively with corporate decision-makers; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, especially in writing and presenting funding proposals; detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills; working knowledge of standard computer software, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. The ability to work nights and weekends is a requirement of this position.

TV Production Internship Opportunities
Fall 2015 internships have been filled. Deadline for Spring 2016 internships is December 11.
NPT provides unpaid internships for students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in television production and equipment operation.
Internships may be tailored to meet specific areas of interest. However, the basic focus of the program is behind-the-scenes production work, providing students with experience in both live and taped shows. The internship also includes non-broadcast related activities, such as studio set-up and maintenance.
- Run prompter
- Edit weekly promos and other non linear editing
- Grip and studio set-up work
- Assist on field shoots
- Log interviews
- Other production related tasks as time permits
Motivated and committed individuals will benefit the most from this program. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.
First preference is given to college students who need credit hours.
