The second edition of NPT Reports: Children’s Health Crisis focuses on issues surrounding Tennessee’s infant mortality rates and birth outcomes, talking with policymakers, health professionals and parents. 
Tennessee now has the 6th highest infant mortality rate in the United States, a slight improvement from having the 4th highest when this documentary aired. Infant mortality rates say more about us than simply how many babies will live to see their first birthday. They are a reflection of the health of communities across Tennessee.  Find out what is being done, and what individuals can do to improve the birth outcomes for all Tennesseans.
