Lyndsey Godwin serves as the Director of Education and Training at Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee.  Planned Parenthood provides a wide range of health services including: cancer screenings, birth control, prevention and treatment of STDs, breast health services, and sexual health education. 

 Working with local schools, community groups, and other non-profits, Lyndsey has educated thousands of teens and adults on a variety of sexuality topics with a particular focus on decision making, and equipped professionals to engage sexuality issues with the young people they work with.    

 Lyndsey is particularly interested in working with faith communities to engage sexuality issues, and has developed parent trainings and teen retreats in conjunction with several local faith communities.    Before beginning at PPMET in 2008, she received her Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt University, with a focus on religious ethics of sex, gender, and sexuality.
