Pepper Cheese Bread

Pepper Cheese Bread

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup grated Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • 2 red or green peppers, minced
  • 1 small to medium onion, minced

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat together butter and eggs. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend well. Pour into a buttered 8x5x2-3/4 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes. Allow bread to rest for 10 minutes in pan, then remove onto cooling rack. Once completely cooled, slice and serve.

Yield: 1 loaf.
