NASHVILLE BALLET ALLEGRO TICKET CONTEST
Nashville PBS is partnering with Nashville Ballet to give away three pairs of tickets to Live in Studio A, featuring George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante and an excerpt from a new work inspired by Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray.
Performances are Sept. 11 – 20 at the Martin Center for Nashville Ballet.
The contest ends Sept. 2 and winners will be notified by Nashville Ballet on or after Friday, Sept. 4.
Limit one entry per person.
A SLICE OF THE COMMUNITY – FATHERHOOD MATTERS MORE THAN EVER
Thursday, Aug. 27, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Jerome Moore and guests discuss multiple aspects of fatherhood and how the presence or absence of father figures affects communities. This conversation is inspired by Fatherhood Beyond the Frame, a feature-length documentary that shares intimate stories from fathers across generations.
This event is free, but reservations are required. Pizza will be provided by Pizza Assurda.
Doors open at 6 p.m.; the taping begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.

NASHVILLE PBS’ BE MY NEIGHBOR DAY

This year we will celebrate Be My Neighbor Day as part of the African Street Festival! We’ll have fun, free activities for children, visits with Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina, and educational resources for families. Be My Neighbor Day celebrates being a caring neighbor, and is supported by PNC’s Growing Up Great program.
